UC Davis Quad // April 25th and 26th

 

End the Silence is Active Mind's Suicide Awareness Campaign. Each year 1,100 colleges students lives are taken due to suicide. In order to raise awareness of this statistic and honor these indviduals lives Active Minds collects 1,100 replica diplomas signed by UC Davis Students and staff members to be placed on the Quad during the event. We also provide students with a chalk board to participate and personal stories of indviduals on campus who either have struggled with suicide themselves or know someone who has struggled with it. We encourage students to come out and support the event by either signing a diploma, witnessing the display, or adding their own message to our board. We hope this event raises awarness of this serious situation as well as helps start the conversation about suicide and mental health so that students struggling feel encouraged to reach out and get help.
